Game of the Month Club at Babycastles
Skan Doesn't Know

This month the Game of the Month Club at Babycastles will be playing Final Fantasy VI. (Realsed in the US as Final Fantasy III) SquareSoft’s Final Fantasy VI (1994), may need no introduction for many who can recall the tail end of the 16-bit era of videogames. Its distinctive visual style, decentered narrative, and spectacular soundtrack all drew from the art and culture of the 17th century baroque while pushing the 1990s technology of the Super Nintendo to its limits. Since its original release it has been remastered and remade multiple times for the Sony PlayStation, Gameboy Advance, and now for iOS, Android, and PC. On May 5th at 8pm, Roman Kalinovski will be moderating a discussion on this game, examining its cultural influences as well as the influence it has had on games to this day. Much of its storyline may be spoiled in the process, so do your best to finish the game if you can! How do I play this? This game was released on several consoles. You can buy the Super Nintendo Virtual Console port on Wii or Wii U. Or you can run the Game Boy Advance or Super Nintendo versions on an emulator on your mac or PC.
