This focus stems from the realization that more images are being produced and parsed by computers today than are being made and seen by humans. His work includes photography, sculpture, and software. His recent show ‘Surface Proxy’ at XPO Gallery played two dimensional reproductions against three dimensional ones by wrapping sculptures in their own images. He is currently an assistant professor of Graphic Design at RISD. KATIE ROSE PIPKIN makes drawings on paper, in language, and collaboratively with machines in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Here is a series of symbols that looks like a field of flowers. ↾⌠❦ᵳ≀〴❧❀१✾឴〳ノ〳❊⎝. PETER BUSSIGEL is a composer and media artist navigating between the promise of electrons and the truth of cardboard and hot glue. His audiovisual instruments, noisy sculptures, and performance games have been presented in concerts and galleries throughout the world. He performs on brass instruments and homemade electronics and regularly works with writers, theater-makers, and dancers. Peter has a Ph.D. in Multimedia and Electronic Music Experiments from Brown University and currently teaches intermedia art at the University of Virginia. CAT FRAZIER is a graphic and instructional designer living in Oakland California. She currently works as an instructional designer for Google. While earning her Bachelors, she began exploring the visual themes of early internet through 3D animated gifs. Shortly before graduating, she created AnimatedText, a 3D text blog where quotes are turned into text gifs. Since launching in November 2012, Animatedtext has garnered more than 200,000 followers. Her work is distinctly characterized by vibrant words spinning in space. Her work ranges from the stand alone text gifs to her 3D text message advice column.
