This workshop will serve as an introduction to Hydra, a live-coding environment for creating visuals using JavaScript. Participants will learn how to write code to create visual art. While Hydra uses JavaScript, we will cover the necessary code to get sketches up and running. If you've never coded with JavaScript or if you've never coded before, you will be able to learn how to use Hydra!

How to Prepare:
Participants should bring their own laptop. Hydra can be used either as web-app (using Chrome) or as a plug-in using the Atom text-editor. Installation instructions for using the Atom extension can be found at https://github.com/zachkrall/hydra-workshop
