Remember the Tortoise and the Hare?
3000 years later, they're still at it!
Arriving in 1994, Jazz Jackrabbit was the PC's answer to Sonic the Hedgehog. The little bunny with a big gun blasted his way through nine episodes and two Christmas specials, determined to rescue his beloved Eva Earlong and thwart Devan Shell's devious designs. It was an early hint of success for Epic, then known as Epic MegaGames, and for designer Cliff Bleszinski, only 19 years old at the time of the game's release.
Jazz was joined four years later by his manic brother Spaz (and later the spunky, spin-kicking Lori) for a highly anticipated second installment... and of course, another Christmas special.
We will also discuss the numerous expansion packs, the canceled 3D three-quel, and 2002's "pseudo-canon" Game Boy Advance entry. There will be carrot snacks for all to enjoy.
Haven't played them? Jazz Jackrabbit 1 and 2 Collections are available on GOG.com.
