This month we will talk about the Japanese action role-playing series Kingdom Hearts. Its 16-year-long convoluted plot crosses over Final Fantasy world and the Disney's characters. Hear a word from our speakers who threw uncountable hours into the cursed universe:
"I loved Kingdom Hearts because it came out during a time where series crossovers didn’t really happen as often as they do now, and it was a chance to play a fun and decent video game featuring Disney characters. As an adult, I realize and appreciate the licensing nightmare behind the scenes that must have been in order for this series to exist." --Steven
"Kingdom Hearts represents the struggle of having your environment impacting you rather than you impacting your environment, the need to leave an indelible mark on the world, and the repercussions of not being chosen but being in the right place at the right time." --Danny
"I love Kingdom Hearts so much, but...don't play it." --Palmmy
~~~How do I play this?~~~~
Kingdom Hearts series has about 10 games and they are on PS 2, 3 and 4. If you want to experience the main gameplay: play Kingdom Hearts I, II, and III. If you want to experience the overall plot, you need about 6 games: Kingdom Hearts I, Chain of Memories, II, Birth by Sleep, Dream Drop Distance, and III.
