The Doubleclicks in Manhattan
with Sarah Donner
and special guest Sunday Comes Afterwards
The Doubleclicks are a folk-pop sibling duo, featuring clever lyrics about dinosaurs, literature, love and the Internet—with a cello, guitar, and meowing kitten keyboard. Their latest CD “Love Problems" debuted at number one on the Billboard comedy albums chart, and they’ve toured the world, at conventions, comedy festivals and more. Their songs and YouTube videos have been viewed over 4 million times and are frequently featured on BoingBoing, Kotaku, the Huffington Post, and on NPR shows "Live Wire" "All Things Acoustic" and "State of Wonder.” thedoubleclicks.com
Sarah Donner is an alt pop singer/songwriter who has embraced her inner cat lady. Her songs teeter back and forth between playful, nerd core, and ballads, all tied together with bright melodies and driving, energetic instrumentals. Sarah Donner’s music has been featured on Conan O'Brien's blog, NPR, Buzzfeed, i09, Showtime, and CBS. Her tenth studio album "Royal Blue" will be released in June with songs about manatees, mansplaining, and lady scientists.
Sarah Donner is a graduate of Westminster Choir College. After stretching her legs with musical theatre, she picked up a guitar, abandoned her classical roots, and started rocking out (with fantastic breath support). When she is not touring, Sarah Donner fosters kittens and teaches music lessons online. sarahdonner.com
Sunday Comes Afterwards is S. Ross, a nonbinary Jewish singer-songwriter who plays the ukulele and sings about anxiety, She-Ra, and the importance of promoting your birthday (theirs is May 10). You can find them on YouTube or at sundaycomesafterwards.com
