WordHack is a monthly evening of performances and talks exploring the intersection of language and technology. Code poetry, digital literature, e-lit, language games, coders interested in the creative side, writers interested in new forms writing can take, all are welcome here.

Alexander King is a Brooklyn based independent game designer whose work centers on data-driven design and simulation. Alexander also teaches at Parsons School of Design and the NYU Game Center. Before working in games, Alexander was an analytics consultant, but now the economies he models are largely fictional ones.


Natalie Braginsky codes poetry, draws music, writes art and improvises computer programs. She lives in Brooklyn.

Luke Degnan is a founding editor of The Felt, a journal of poetry and prose produced by Pratt Institute’s Graduate Writing Program. He writes poetry and fiction and works with artificial intelligence and language generation.

Maria Baker is a writer of drama, fiction, and poetry, and a translator of all things German. She holds an MFA in Writing from Pratt Institute. Most recently she (and Luke) edited and published an oral histories project with Brooklyn Senior citizens. astold.org
